Ja, I was throwing medi packs at an APC the other day, it was fatal
Forgot I'd switched from Spec Ops to medic for the squadleader.

I'll have to try killa's shotgun. Got the feeling it's gonna hurt :wince:

an engineer's worst nightmare is :

- fixing a tank/apc and a friendly steals it
- you select the spanner during the keyboard juggle instead of the shottie
- your mines activate 1 sec just after a whole enemy column passes by
- and the follow up friendly column hits your mines
- you get TK punished for a mine you dropped 30 mins ago
- you forget which arty/UAV/radar is yours and fix the enemy's by mistake

Spec Ops worst nightmare is to forget what team you're on (thank the auto team swap), and you accidentally blow up your own UAV trailer / sat scan trailer. Gaah!

I press tab during gunfights cause I love that gargly argh sound I make when I peg it. Caps is another gunfight fav

i find it easier to look at the flag by the radar...the flag on your left is YOU.

In that pic the little RED box has a flag under it.
I swear that mine does not have that flag ...
Can you resise that radar in the settings ? Cos mebbe that would explain it.

maybe your transparency is set too high? dunno.. mine has always shown the flags...

Hi there - thanks for the game yesterday afternoon.

I finished up yesterday and then decided to do some housework - updating all my drivers and such on my machine.

All went well until i tried running BF2 - suddenly now my screen is all garbled like the refresh rate has gone beserk and the graphics are terrible.

I tried re-aplying the latest patch, but am still having the same problem.

Does this mean that it is time to maybe remove an re0install special forces, then re-apply the patch and let them optimize the shaders again?

Or is it a case of re-installing both games BF2 & SF?

Lastly, if iI uninstall, is it going to wipe out my profiles?

Any help in this regard woiuld be greatly appreciated.

Try deleting the 'dmp', 'logocache' and 'mods' folders out of your My Documents\Battlefield 2 folder.
