Battlefield 2

What I miss is a way to stop the tank. I drive into base at speed. Guy in APC shooting at me. I see one of my team mates standing next to building but as I come up to drive past this building, he runs off right into the path of my tank. I actually saw this happening like in slow motion. I climbed onto tank's brakes but needless to say, tank just does not stop there and then. Placed a skid mark on his back. Thank goodness guy knew he was in the wrong - no tk.

i think i have voted "NO" (in other words, yes, the plick did this on purpose) about 2 times in over 30 hours of playtime. I am quite forgiven i suppose. Mostly i am in the wrong, but it wasnt really anybodies fault. Why punish a dude? It only aggrevates people and i want to KILL them! HAHA... i mean, i wish to play the darn game!

Odessa, i apologise if i have run under your wheels (i have died by vehicles SO many times). A lot of times i round a corner running and SQUISH! tank is reversing. Theres no telling theres a tank around a corner sometimes.

anyhow, i just find it amusing whatching people kill team mates for a car. Erm, this means that you not only face 32 people who MUST kill you, but you also face a additional potential 31 players who MIGHT kill you just to get your car, even though they are on your side... Ummm, weird.

Anyhow, knife to know you guys...

yea, some dome teamy shot me out of the black hawk last night, i wasn't even the pilot who didn't give him a lift! something--matt--something or the other! i did punish for tk for that one!

and do your team kills just add up for however long you are connected to a server?
over say 20 rounds i maybe kill 1 teamy a round, then suddenly on round 21 i mistakenly tame another teamy out and then i get kicked? this seemed to happen to me the other night, my mate, clan member kept running into my own grenades, then we started another round and i took out a friendly tank in a battle, only guy i tk on that map and i got kicked off the server :(

I think you have to have a death to kill ratio of 4:1 in one round. ie. you have to have 4 times more deaths than kills in one round.

It normally happens if one side loses all their flags but one, then gets owned. Happen to you lately?

I'm not sure anymore, getting conflicting views on whether it's good or not.

You've put in more than 1000 hours ? Is it true ?

Nope, it's not true. I don't think any player has put in 1000hours in the world - the correct way to get a medal is having a K/D ratio of 1:4

What's the purple heart for? :$

Most deaths in combat?

I ask 'cuz I got one last night . . .

According to an FAQ by James Jurewicz (NitrousOxcide):

4. The Purple Heart

I was impressed when I got it the first time, until I read what it meant. :) Then I had to laugh.

According to this guy:
==============================================
5. The Meritorious Service Medal

I.e. rewarding people who did not have a life for a couple of months.

Doh!

Yup 4:1 sounds about right last night ;)

I'm a pretty "head down guns blazing, flags are there to be capture, trailers there to be blown up" sort, so I tend to die a bit . . . . At least I've finally made Lance Corporal.

In my defence I blame a sloppy team and Kubra Dam!!! I HATE KUBRA DAM!! ;)

We lost about 5 in a row. Only in the last round did I notice no-one was volunteering to command. I gave it a bash, I'm not very good normally, but what can you do when you have:
1 Squad of 5
all other squads <3 people
No one following orders
No Squads sticking together
No one who can fly a chopper
50% Snipers!

I vote for the dam* dam map to be removed. :) It is only good for chopper hoppers.

I find the support soldier gun is also good for eating choppers. I have even downed one using my spes-ops rifle, but it used all my ammo.

i looove kubra dam if i spawn as MEC... just take the Tunguska by the Western base at startup and move just under the cliffs by the bridge... in the two rounds on that map i got most of the BH's trying to come over from both sides and the Huey from under the bridge... works everytime... :D

as a normal kit soldier the Support guys have more luck if shooting at the cockpit... but that usually means the chopper guys can also shoot him ASAP... :(

By the whay, has anybody else got their Airborne Ribbon? (It is for landing safely after a jump from more than 300m.)

I got mine last night. At game startup I got into a transport chopper with some guy. He just went straight up, without going in any direction. After a while, when the ground turned completely invisible I decided to bail out. I floated about a minute before I landed. And had a new ribbon.
