Have the same problem, I always seem to spawn in exactly the same spawn point at which I died

Justinct - what are you comparing BF2 to? I'm running a 9600pro and most stuff is low to medium and I think it's still looks pretty good. Don't worry about getting killed too much, if you're lucky you'll end up with a purple heart

So what kit did you settle on? Un-unlocked sniper is a bit trying. What's your nick?

Yes but at each flag there are designated spawn spots eg - Sharqi front flag, on the roof overlooking the flag.

Hi - looking for some help. just because the servers were full last night and someone decided to put a password on server 28 for the 2 people using it I decided to try and configure my joystick. I have the logitec force feedback model.

On the airplane I have the throttle for increase and decrease, the stick for up and down, and the twist for left and right. Is this right? Because I would have thought that the stick would do left and right roll and up and down pitch, while the twist does the left and right roll. What gives?

Anyhow, the plane is flyable

The helicopter is another fish filled kettle. Here I need both the stick and the keyboard. When I turn I seem to get some roll - must be the advanced flight model in the game ;0).

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't choose where you spawn - there are only 3 places where you can spawn:

1. On the Squad Leader [so join a squad ]
2. At captured outposts
3. Your homebase.

@Albereth: Although I can't help with the main problem; the .28 server was locked because it was a Clans vs. Non-Clan match although hardly anyone pitched [maximum was 10/32]

Um i am comparing it to css in regards to the detail level, things such as the ground and grass dont look as detailed, but getting closer to people and objects such as tanks i think its pretty good.
Overall i think the gfx are good, as i said i enjoy checking the choppers and planes flying overhead. (As long as they are my teams )

I played with the assualt dude and the sniper a bit.

It took me awhile to realise that the assault gun is not automatic, so i would run up behind a guy and then shoot him,holding my mouse button down, only to release a shot or two, for the dude to turn and p4n me, lol. But now i know its click click click. hehe

Um also how do you get ammo when you run out?
Cos im like running around going click click, with no ammo til i die so i can get a gun with ammo.
And those packs that the choppers drop off, how do i get stuff from that?

How do you unlock weapons?
Do they unlock after getting x amount of points/kills?

Ye luckily i havnt tk'd anyone yet, but i was tk'd twice :/
But im sure it was accidental so i just 4gave the dudes.

I wanted my nick to be js, but as i thought it needs to be 3characters or more, so its : js-ftw eheh

anyway its a cool game, and the people that play seem pretty decent/cool aswell.

You can get ammo from one of those big crates that get dropped by the commander. Watch out they can kill you if they land on you. Or the support guy can give you ammo.

Weapons unlock on your second promotion, i.e. 1000 points

You can get extra ammo from the commander [you must request it] or I think the "Support" class can give it to you?

Unlocking weapons: Yip, it's after a certain amount of points.

I have changed my setting for the heli for the joystick so that left and right on the joystick turn left and right, instead of rolling. That way I do not turn the heli upside down, but my flying still sucks, so I do not do much of it.

Ammo:
Get ammo from supply dudes, or stand really close to a supply box (Dropped from the sky by the commander - watchout - it can kill you) - hold Q - Choose I need ammo, and all the supply dudes will see that you need ammo and mebbe drop some near you.

Health:
Same as supply - the commander's supply box can heal you, hold q - choose - need a medic and the medics will see that you need them.

Gun Modes
Some guns have multipe fire modes - Press 3 and it will switch to mode 1 [singe shot], press 3 again and it'll switch to semi auto [bursts of 5 I think]. You'll see a small A or 1 under the gun's picture.

if you are out of ammo and no supplies in sight, walkover a BAG left by any dead soldier and swap out kits by pressing G... this will swap your kit with the one on the ground, sometimes you might even get an unlocked weapon and full ammo... at times though you might get nothing too...

Being Tk'd is part of the game.....so get used to PG UP, PG UP lots......punishing someone will not make you any friends...the player who tk'd you gets -4 pts anyway..accidents happen....I get run over often trying to repair vehicles when I'm an engineer, but I can't punish the driver if he/she are trying to avoid being blown up.
