Battlefield 2

I think I may have wondered across a few knife fights the other day and was shooting at you guys, only after did i realise it was knifing night... i stood no chance trying to get a knife fight won.... i am improving slowly, but have a long way to go still.

I think that I have only managed 30 points in a game once so far.

IS ne1 else running a leadtek version of the Nvidia GeForce 5700 with 1 Gb of RAM? If so, could you possible post you gfx setting screen so that i can match it - otherwise it is back to shadowless, unaliased low res. country for me.

Hmm, I think the 5700 barely makes it for BF2.
You'd probably do better going back to the low res settings.

I was also praticing with my new sniper rifle, i was trying to shoot the pilots out of helicopters but its freakin difficult. How do I get voip workin while in squad, I know how it works when im commander or squadleader but howd you get it workin normally? apparantly you tick something

yes, thats it!!

knife killings, i get them pretty easy, you wouldnt beleive how many dumbass's come sit next to me on the hills when i'm sniping or waiting to c4 something, its like *shuffle shuffle*.... hmmm whats that noise... look left and see some dumb enemy dude has come to lie down next to me with his sniper gun! like breathe in his face, put c4 detonator away, pull out life, STAB STAB STAB!!!!!! reek reeeek reeeeeeek!!!

yeah, I see the 5700 is listen in the minimum system requirements section unfortunately.

So it looks like low res until i can get hold of the 600GT (it is 256mb - 256bit right)? and the manufcturer to go for ?

I was thinking a gigabyte 600gt to match the gigabyte mobo I am currently running.

Thanks for the reply.... My options are as follows, bearing in mind I am limited to AGp and do not have an unlimited budget.

--------------------------------------------------
1. Gigabyte® nVidia® GeForce 6600, 256MB 128Bit (Turboforce) - R1095

2. Gigabyte® nVidia® GeForce 6600GT, 128MB 128Bit - R1595

3. Gigabyte® nVidia® GeForce 6600GT, 128MB 128Bit (VIVO + Turboforce) - R1795

4. Leadtek® nVidia® GeForce 6800LE 128MB 256Bit - R995

5. Leadtek® nVidia® GeForce 6800 256MB 256Bit - R1695
--------------------------------------------------

You can get cheaper 6600GT's from other companies, more like R1100. Try Genex.

Other than that the 6800LE looks like a pretty sweet deal, there reviews on the net just google for them.

Killa, you better turn down that "keyboard boost" ey . . . :p

ummm well my 6600 broke fan failed they had to replace with the 6800 le

and let me tell you something this card is awesome way better than 6600 i had

so that 995 for a 6800le if you looking for cheap and decent card that the one to go for

i think 256 bit makes a big difference

Thanks

So the 256MB 256bit le model looks decent to you guys - i will google-ize it tonight and check out the reviews.

No one seems to rate option 5 very highly though, but at a glance i would have thought it would be the better card to get

Also, on the subjeect of xboxes, MS are sending us 3 of them after we set up a media deal with them.... 1 for the company, 1 for the manager and one for the guy who set up the media deal..... lucky bastards

and apparently bill is going to be signiung them for us.

HEHE

I work for a marketing and tech support company. They are always hiring.

I was looking around as well, it seems like the thing to look at is the pielines story..... the leadtek cards have 4 while the other gigabyte ones have more.

Am i barking up the wrong tree here?

When it comes to Graphics cards there is only one way to compare:

There is no better way, and there are just millions of review sites on the net. I usually start with Anandtech.com and Techreport.com, then TomsHardware.com (They have a great chart covering almost every card available).

For the less mainstream stuff like the 6800LE, you're better off googling

Hopefully catch you guys later!

Thanks for the link

The card looks sweet - both of them actually.

It looks like I may have a new client which means that if I can sort out his site and hosting etc, I can buy myself the Leadtek A400 TDH Ultra - it's over 2k, but looking at the reviews it looks like a hottie.

12 pipelines, 256MB DDR3, 256Bit - it is actually using the 6800 Ultra GPU

The reviews on xbitlabs seem very favourable.

So, i think with your help, I have managed to make a decision..... if the client comes through it's A400 and if not, it's the 6600

Thanks everyone for all the help.... i really appreciate it:)
