Battlefield 3

DICE community manager Daniel Matros has been answering questions about Battlefield 3 on Twitter. Battlefield fan @bkohn1 asked him whether a rig matching the Battlefield 3 recommended system requirements would run the game on ultra settings. Matros replied to say that “recommended is usually medium.” So will a top of the range Nvidia GTX580 do the trick? Apparently not. Matros revealed that we’ll need two 580s in SLI to make the most of the Frostbite 2 engine. The minimum system specifications may not be too punishing, but for those who want to see Battlefield 3 at its very best, a hefty upgrade may needed. Battlefield 3 may well be worth the expense. Would you be tempted to upgrade?

So it looks like we will be able to share it!

Hmm if we want to share the download I wonder if we'll need to tick the 'Keep Game Installers' box?
 
Seeing as the requirements are update and this will now work on my PC, I am going to give this a try :D Oh and its Friday. We so we so excited :D

Anyone in Durban(Amanzimtoti/Isipingo) area? It will take forever with my 384Kbs line.

Yes, you'll need to tick that box, then it keeps the installer. I did this with Shift 2's DLC and then just copied it for my cousin. He just installed and it picked up in Origin.

I'm in Morningside but work in the Queensburgh/Seaview area. When I download it next week I can burn it to DVD and we can arrange to meet. Just PM me so I don't forget :P

Hi guys.

Where do I get my early access for BF3 beta? I have the MoH: LE, reinstalled last night, loaded it on Origin too but still no DL link.
 
@bio running an i5 750 and a 5850 and must say the gfx could run on Medium and High. obviously not everything such as AA and such was off, but it still looked damn sexy.

must say though the game felt a bit "sluggish" but I guess it is cause of the change from BC2 to this and will probably get used it.
