Battlefield 3

I only buy my games from take2/takealot and everytime i have pre-ordered a game it has always come on the release day. I live in Durban so they usually dispatch it the day before and it arrives by noon of the release day.
Ok (on your experiece :) ) just ordered from them - hope they come thru

I just pre ordered from kalahari - they threw in R50 voucher and free delivery, cant ask for more than that

Sorry to disappoint but BF3 does not use the same game engine as BFBC2. BF3 uses Frostbite 2, the upgrade to Frostbite (used for BC2).

Same pap, different sauce.

It's been documented on the web that if you can run BFBC2 flawlessly you will have no problem running BF3.
AFAIK though.

Oh shaddup! You just ruined a happy moment. :D

Unless you have a totally kak machine, you should run it fine on low. My 8800GTS 320mb was the issue. I could play for about 15mins and then it would crash due to drivers. This was with a 3GB DDR2 and a Q6600.

My new machine is perty :)

I just came across BT games now, doing an internet search - seeing as they are located in joburg i will do the pre-order via them

Just submitted my pre-order to BT as well.
I see they have a midnight launch........ If I cannot sleep Thursday night, I might go pick it up......:p

Get the one from Takealot.co.za (includes free delivery on Friday) - R 322

I think you might be disappointed, bet on a Monday delivery. Precisely why I'll pre-order and pick up. Nothing worse than ordering online and they don't meet the stipulated delivery time. Especially over a weekend when your mates are ranking up lol. I've been burnt once with Take2/Takealot never again. Support your local gaming retailer!!!!!

Don't you dare

I'll just cancel it on Monday and ask a refund if I don't get it on Friday.

I run BFBC2 perfectly at high graphics setting, but I did the battlefield graphics test at the Nvidia site and it said with my gtx460 running at full graphics Ill average 30-40 fps in game.

(though hopefully that is just a gimmick to make me buy a better graphics card).

I run BFBC 2 full graphics on an GTS 250. No problems so I'll try this game on medium lol

Remember they did some system tweaking after the BETA. If you ran BETA you will sure as hell run it with no problem on the "LIVE" game.

My E8200, HD 4850, 4gb ram struggled a lot. Barely made 30fps on low on the beta.

But upgrade coming soon!
