Have you guys switched off any settings? I switched off motion blur, annoys me in a FPS.

For multiplayer, I disable deffered antialiasing (4xMSAA) just to make sure I get 60fps constantly.

Lag seemed much better this morning :) Played a couple of epic 32 player games this morning, and lag was virtually non-existant. I've only played on "African" servers thus far though.

And I've switched from assualt to engineer. Engineer suits me much better!

ya switched off MB on mine aswell. Its really not needed in MP.

to avoid any further frustration and grey hairs where possible , make sure it stays on African servers :>

guys , im trying to help my dad with his pc....


He has a 9800GT 512 and a 4400+ amd , 2.5 gig ram . Last night i fixed up his BF3 and the game played well in sp and mp on low, but the stuttering was bad in sound as it didn't quite match up with what was happening in-game, the videos also were completely laggy.

im thinking its the CPU since its dual and low on cache.

any suggestions on which one to take ?

He has a am3 board and 400w thermaltake psu.

Im thinking a Cheapy tri-core or even perhaps a fast dual core (3.4GHZ + 7mb cache ?) remember we dont earn insane amounts so be reasonable lol.


ive tried it on my pc and dual core works perfectly. i have a very rare working 555BE :)

So if someone is in a building shoot i cannot see them because it is dark, when i get in it lightens up. Anyway to fix it? It is not just a building but an area that is like a room it is so dark i can see nothing when i am on the outside and someone is in the room like area.

it happens to me aswell, you can try play around with HBAO or SSAO see if it helps, or turn it off completely.

Its really un-needed fancy gimmicks really. to much flashyness makes MP hard to play but use it in SP :D

Im running alles on (1920x1080) high with medium shadows and no blur and no HSBAO or SSAO with medium AA

hmmm I'm not clued up on the AMD CPU's but I'm runnint a core 2 duo 8500 ( 6Mb cache and 3.1Ghz ) . I also had laggy sound but turning the sound enhancements off and loading the latest nvidia gfx drivers sorted me out. Funny thing is put the enhancements back on and all seems fine now too. Also running a 9600GTX btw.

ill have a look at his drivers , you using the latest ? im not too clued up with nvidia anymore .. is it beta drivers or just the normal latest one from the website ?
 
Finally had a perfect 2 hours. No crashes, disconnects or lag. Seems the trick is 32 players.

i5-750, 5850, 2 GB RAM, Win 7 32 bit, 2 Mbps WA, 1600x900. On high with defaults. ATI 11.10 preview 3. WAGE servers.

When I plug my Logitech joystick in, as soon as I spawn my fire action is triggered non stop. What joysticks do you have

Webafrica having some sort of problem? i cannot join a server, just says joining server for ever and ever
