Battlefield 3

So they say that each class takes about 100 hours to complete. I assume that the levels won't take that long, but rather the levelling of the classes. 400 hours isn't that much though. About 4 months of playing 2-3 hours a day on average :p

The ak in the medic class is epic (the first gun for medic/assault on ru team...) Its accuracy is brilliant and its got a fair amount of stopping power.

Does anyone know if there are magnum bullets in bf3 like there were for bc2?

That is a damn good question, what about armour to take more bullets?

Maybe one of the level 40 guys can tell us :D.

Leveling is not so much how long you sit behind thew computer, it's a matter of finding a quiet server where you can pick on the "newborns" I'm on level 10 with 11 hours play not bad IMO. Also when you get to lvl 16 and unlock the UMP all resistance crumbles HAHA.

At the end of the day you going to be on the grind until you start releasing some nice weapons/upgrades, makes a huge difference. But even then you going to come across some okes with all the bling in which case you will be forced to play it safe or head for the hills and find another server where you do the bullying!!

In BETA I lvl'd 40 in less than a week. Leveling structure does seems different in final release not so easy?

I know there is a flak perk, but that's about all I could see in my battlelog profile, I did have a quick look through so I may have missed it... Time will tell. Or maybe one of the level 40 guys (as you said :p)

Earning between 140 and 160 point per minute of time played, according to the game stats. That's a fair indication of how long it'll take to level up, ie. roughly a level per hour played.

Only problem with that logic is that from level 10 odd you need about 16000xp to move up and each subsequent level has higher xp to attain. So it will take quite some time to complete!

I'm sure a plan could be made - create an .iso of each DVD and pop it on an external?

HOLY COW but you guys can talk a lot :D :D

leveling up does have to do with the time you spend, but mostly with how much you achieve in said time.

if you in a solid squad/team, then you will most definitely get great points and the time you put in, will make you level up that much faster.

also just reached lvl 17 and agree that I think it has more to do with the add-ons than the actual weapon.
yes the weapon can make a difference, especially if it has different handling and such, but with add-ons that can change.

atm I am playing mostly with the M4's and the Ak-74u (Engineer weapons and medic)
put on GRIP plus one of the sights, not the scopes. think it is the 1st HOLOGRAPHIC you unlock for the 74-u

naaa you must check okes with 2-4 kd's .

Well it's not so much the weapon that makes the difference i reckon it is the attachments and add ons that make the weapon good.

So for instance if you have very few unlocks and i have majority of them i will see you before you see me and poon you because i can zoom in 4-7 x which makes killing far easier. You get a grip that lowers the recoil. You can add a silencer and so on. So the add ons for the weapons are very useful.

The best thing to do is work for all the weapons with most of the unlocks and play around with them and see which works best for your style of play :D.

19 hours is nothing, it was only so low because i got pissed watching the lions whip the sharks :D. In all honesty i cannot think of a better way to spend 19 hours, Playing bf 3 while talking a bunch of rubbish with my clan mates on TS is awesome.

I hear what you're saying, and agree. I just find that with the same attachments on different guns, the M416 feels better than the M4/AK and the F2000 feels better than the M416. Well, that's in my hands at least. It seems there are some guys on higher levels than me still using the starting rifles so it must be a 'per person' preference.

Was there any word when the voice feature would be made live??

I'm using the M416 with the Holo or RDS (something like that) with a grip and silencer. I do agree the attachements really make a difference. As much as the silencer may reduce damage over distance, not having the muzzleflash give you away makes it worth it.

Ye who art not spotted, lives to kill another foe.

Chartie tell me did you find the engineer kits took so much longer to get the scopes than the medic kit? It took me like 5 hours of playing engi to get a 4x scope for one gun while the medic kit seems to take an hour or so

I wonder why?

um, scoring.

engineer it is difficult to get good points when you not vehicle assisting and such.

as a medic, in a normal conquest game you get healing and reviving, where as if you engineer, what can you really do but kill?

lol, took a guy out 1 shot with a Javelin in that AMTRAC thing.

and yet I have seen guys fire that thing at me in a tank and it took like 2 shots.

strange.
