Battlefield 3

Here's hoping that the soldier name can be as long as it was in BF2. Had to change it in subsequent versions. Need 19 letters.
 
It would be cool to have LAN support. Think of Rage and all other LANs across the country - having BF3 there and playable would attract a lot of interest. I for one would go to RAGE if there was a BF3 comp.

The excitement for the upcoming holiday season of big gaming releases is becoming palpable, with debates raging across the internet as to which games will be most deserving of our hard-earned year-end bonuses.
Battlefield 3 is clearly a major contender for many FPS fans, and local internet service providers have recently been announcing their official EA ranked server support for the game.
Local game server rental initiative HypeGamez has also announced that they are an official part of the EA Ranked Server Provider (RSP) programme and they will be offering public servers as well as servers for rental to clans and any others interested in their own Battlefield 3 server.
MyGaming caught up with Wayne D'SA, HypeGamez Co-founder and -owner, to learn more about the company and its services.
“HypeGamez was established in August 2008 and started offering South Africa's first premium, rental game servers. Our server infrastructure is hosted in a Tier1 ISP's datacentre, which allow us to provide low ping & high availability game servers to our customers,” said D’SA.
“We have EA RSP and Pragmatic Ranked status as an official hosting provider. We currently provide dedicated game servers for a number of SA clan's that include the following games: BF2, BFBC2, COD4, Armed Assault, L4D2, Crysis, Crysis2 and a number of other servers.”

According to GameTracker.com (a game server tracking service), HypeGamez has the highest ranked servers in South Africa for Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 2 and ARMA 2.
“This proves the calibre of service that our customers enjoy on a daily basis at HypeGamez,” said D’SA.
D’SA detailed the value proposition of HypeGamez’ server offerings:
• Flexible month to month server rental.
• Remote Management - to be able to completely manage the game server and all its facets, including unattended game re-installations, resource and player graphing, unattended PunkBuster/Steam updates, scheduled reboots/tasks and web-based file manager and configuration tools.
• FTP Access - to be able to upload and change maps and mod-packs.
• Dedicated technical support hours.
• Low latency SA based servers.

Battlefield 3 RSP rental service
HypeGamez is an official EA RSP and will be hosting local public Battlefield 3 servers as well as offering dedicated rental Battlefield 3 ranked servers.
HypeGames is offering a pre-order special for BF3 game servers. For orders placed between 9 September and the game launch date of 25 October 2011, they are offering a 15% discount on retail server pricing.

No, if you rent a server from Gameservers.com, you can select either Cape Town or Jo'burg and it will be hosted on MWEB's network. Same size as with Blops.
 
i bought the medal of honor limited edition last year but i have still not received any notification of any beta invite or code i read on shacknews that some people have started getting emails from ea saying "your beta spot has been reserved" or something along that line

do i need to link my moh to my account or how does it work

I did the same and i have not received my mail yet. i saw on a website that BF3 beta will be launched on 9/11/2011
 
MOH special edition or whatever it is called gets 48hour early acess to the demo...the rest of the public gets it 48 after MOH owners and BF3 limited edition preorders from origin.
