Bf 2 used to be 64 and the lag could get rather hectic. Hopefully they have sorted it out or the servers will be powerful enough to handle 64 peeps.

It's some years later. Cycles, bandwidth and storage is fast, large and cheap now.

This game is going to be epic, I can feel it!
 
The rumour is that it will the 11/09. Tomorrow that is!

Edit: 29 September looks like the official date.

Wonder if it will coincide with the 2nd part of the new trailer landing this Friday?

I still maintain it will be out late this month to allow for 1 month of beta before the game is dropped. Man I hope I am wrong.
 
sigh just read that MW3 will have LAN support .... sigh!!!

As hard as they try they will never never never get to the STD BF3 has set now,
that said some LAN support would rock in BF3

If they did ever include it at some point in the future, it will definitely require an online connection, the days of offline LAN game support are over for the majority of games nowadays.
