Battlefield 3

Nice i almost pre ordered it on origin when they have it 539, 200 less :D now. Not sure what version that was though.

I don't think I have ever seen it for that much on Origin.

well if you did, I am sure you could have gotten a R200 refund easily.

I think it's time the Battlefield 2 sub-forum had a name change. I did suggest it about a year ago when BC2 came out, in the forum suggestions thread, but nothing came of it. It can definitely now be changed to Battlefield 3 or just Battlefield.
 
yep, good idea. I foresee a lot of BF3 threads coming soon.

If I preorder it will be on Origin. Im really just waiting to see what happens with Steam, but you get the maps, 2 weapons (one is available from the start if I recall) and one other thing I can't remember :)

And you can start your full game download on the 21st to be ready for the release date!
 
Sorry if this has come up, but im slightly confused with release dates ?

on the above website, the release date states 25th where as on

http://store.origin.com/store/eara/en_ZA/html/pbPage.battlefield3_ZA/

the release date states 28th ? is this a simple mistake that it has not been updated or are us south africans only getting it AFTER the US ?

SA falls under Europe, so we'll get it on the 28th. A lot of the SA retailers list as available on the 28th, so there shouldn't be any confusion :)

yeah SA falls under EU and we usually get releases after US.

so as you say, 25th is US and 28th is us. we will have pre-load from 21st though if you ordered on Origin.

Do you guys know if you can play the game from the 25th? Or do you have to wait until the SA release date?
