He is sure to draw out fire as soon as they see him.

It was so bad in BF2 that people actually quit the server if he joined and the other side he is playing on is full. Seriously, he had Bad Ass rep on BF2.
He would run with that engineering kit if you see a guy running in engineer and people running away, that was Killa :D

They actually drive to his spawn site automatically.

Right, it did ship at 09:05:08 AM. From their Jhb depo. So I should be receiving it during the course of the day. Hopefully sooner rather than later, since I'll probably end up leaving the office right after it arrives.

I've ordered BF3 for my roommate with TakeAlot two weeks ago.

Apparently my payment on my CC didnt go through (I received an order confirmation email, but no other email saying there is a problem). TakeAlot are presently trying to make a plan to get me a copy today. I've even offered to collect it from their shipping agent in JHB.

How hard could it be to ensure that a pre-ordered game arrives on the day of release?

Yesterday I was told that I will get my order today.
Why is everyone having issues this morning?

Because talk is very cheap, in my experience :p That, and my order said "awaiting shipment" this morning. I wasn't aware that TakeALot now has a Johannesburg depo, however. Normally my goods came from CT so if it was sent from there, only today, I would've received it on Monday.

And not only that, origins stupid activation server went down as well, luckily it was back up by morning ... but any one who wanted to play during the early hours of the morning were left helpless. I seriously dont know why they couldnt just stick with steam. Steam took years to get decent, but at least it is now decent! Dont want this rubbish all over again with origin.

Still waiting for my dam game to download, the preload speeds were awful, and if you dropped, restart at the last chunk .. grrr ... at least i should have it tonight

I have never had any "awaiting Shipment" messages.

Mine just said: "Expected 28 October 12:00"

That then changed to: Expected 28 October

Now it says: Nothing

speaking of the choppers .. what are they like? I have heard great and terrible things about them, but on the whole, most agree that they are better than BC2?
Apparently the handling is more similar to BF2(GREAT!) but that they are so weak, a stray dust particle can blow you up(SUCKS!) --> implied that any gun can take down a chopper quick and easy?

Trick with the chopper if you don't have a joy stick:

Don't use your mouse to fly.

Use the "W" movement key and then use the arrows on your keyboard for the pitch of the chopper. If you are going to fly with your mouse YOU WILL FAIL!

I can fly a chopper pretty damn well even if I have to say so myself :o

Jets on the other hand :o

I was always asked to fly the Apache/Choppers in BFBC2 with that long rush map which starts on 2 islands.
 
Beware if you're a sniper ....... I like going off-road with mah tank and squishing you lot :whistle:
 
well takealot sent a mail this morning saying it's on it's way via express delivery! i was starting to get worried since they usually need to ship the day before. holding thumbs i get it today :D
