Battlefield 3

You can always hold Q to bring up the comma rose and ask for pickup. You'll then flash on the mini-map. Problem is, the game is still new and not many played BF2 back then, so they're not sure how to actually use the system.
 
From Battlefield 3 on Facebook - "Be advised! We are boosting the capacity of our Battlefield 3 servers tonight. As such, all platforms will be down for maintenance and performance upgrades at 2AM PDT for about an hour. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Last night wasn't my night :(

I got violated in so many ways, I feel like a prossie after a bike rally.

Tonight I should be on earlier and rock some maps.

*BTW*
I noticed last night that I only used about 100MB's in 3 hours of play. I thought BF3 was using something like 250MB's an hour :confused:
 
I also noticed over the past few days that my usage is less on bf3 per hour. BF3 beta, i was using about 100mb-150mb per hour, bfbc2 is about 50mb. Didn't really play last night. In-laws were at my place for supper.

should be on toinght. Need to try and upgrade my rig somehow.

So is that tonight (or today)? God I hope its another update..

My server got updated last night to patch R7 which is supposed to fix the rubberbanding and other issues we've all been experiencing. Freakin tried it this morning with another player and the rubberbanding is worse. It's completely unplayable now. That was 64 man though, and I think that 32 player servers are a bit better after release. Testing it out after 10am today to confirm.
 
Why is everyone complaining about lag?

I play on CellC and have hardly seen any lag what so ever. I have had 1 or 2 instances of rubber banding but that is it.
This is with my combined play time of about 6 hours on various servers.

Yus ya, lag was terrible last night. This game can really really piss me off, when you just die. Spawn - Die, spawn - die, spawn - die . Rage quit. hahaha

It's gotten worse for me since release day :( Are you playing on the 64 or 32 man servers?

You are lucky then!

I suppose mine is a combination of their server issues and 384 mweb uncapped not really being suitable for online play

Got the same line and only had lag on one server (game) last night changed to another server and was all good. Even managed to kill some peeps for a change. Except those bl&%dy snipers !!!

You realize bf 3 is not a social activity, if you play 4 hours a night you have no life. It's better to sit in front of the tv or go to braai's because then you are interacting with people.

I somehow doubt that I have no life, and yes, I have friends that I play bf3 with. We all sit in my ts server and talk k@k. I know most of them from before adsl became 'affordable' and we talk crap the same way we would if we were actually sitting in the same room.

So define not having a life? Nerd rage is becoming quite a problem as nerds are in general quite intelligent... I think that the guys who make comments like that are just jealous... They aren't at that level yet, they aren't as good etc etc.

Why don't we all just let everyone be? Last night some guy raged at me because I crashed the heli. I thought to myself... What is his issue, if I don't fly the chopper, how am I going to learn how to?

Why don't we all just be a little more patient with each other... This game is new, people are still levelling and some have never played BF! So just because you're an avid/crazy/mad/bored online gamer doesn't mean that you need to take it out on other people!!!

I played a few maps in a row with AztecZA and Lonooowolf (<--something like that) on my squad. THAT was how I knew this game should be played. We stuck together, 2 assault, 1 engi and 1 support. We assaulters assaulted and revived like champs with the others keeping mobs/vehicles at bay. I've always had fun whenever I play, but last night made me realise almost how invincible a team that works as a team can be.....

I'll normally try follow a teamie.... Just wish they looked after me like I do them....
 
No it's not my logic but i have heard people saying if you play games so much you have no life which i don't get because bf 3 is a highly social thing to do :D.
