Battlefield 3

For some reason i never get notified of invites anymore, sent or received. and Coop games do not work if you cant accept an invite ....:(
 
Had a lot of fun tonight except for one idiot that kept on swearing at everyone. I guess every village needs an idiot.

Yup i always say sorry if i take teamie out hey. Not sure why but sometimes i don't get the blue/red icon and i just shoot. Sadly they will die instantly when a teamie and take entire clips if they are enemy :p
 
Geez shot guns are terrible in this game. Requires 2 shots to the chest ATLEAST to kill an enemy and 9 times outta 10 you're dead after you've fired the first shot :(
 
My game is broken.... The game would freeze everytime I tried to get in, so I tried to repair the install. It got to 100% and then wouldn't finalize the install, and the game was listed as "ready to download" even though it was at 100%. If I clicked download, it would just sit at 100% for ever. Now because it was listed as "ready to download", I had no uninstall option... Fail....

I then attempted to install it a fresh from the disk, but then it stopped at 98.5% and wouldn't go further... And its once again listed as "ready to download"....

I'm at my wits end!

yeah tell me about it.

I am struggling with inconsistency of weapons where 1 round would do good with certain gun, yet next round I would suck. BC2 any1??

I am also getting a bad vibe from guys using the F2000, being practically 1 shot killed by them, even from a distance.

yeah i know what you mean! And howcome there are no gun stats? Or do they all do equal damage or what? Its kinda odd because for example in BC2, you started with the AEK, and the M16 was the last unlock. This time around, the m16 is given to you first and the aek is an unlock.

I've also been killed very quickly by guys with F2000's
 
F2000 for me is the best gun in the game. Gotten the most kills with it outta all the weapons. It's really good. High damage, goood accuracy, not much more you could ask for.

I've unlocked it but never used it coz I hated in bc2. Will test it out soon

Lol @ the flying tree video! I love when someone's foot stick out of a wall when they're inside and you get to shoot that.

I hate it when that happens, because when I'm the victim I really get irritated, but I STILL do it to others when they are the victims! So I can't/wont complain, but it is a stupid glitch programmers should try to correct :)

1942 vietnam bf 2 bfbc2 bf 3 all have it so there won't be a fix
 
yeah it is just like how you see when you view the killcam, how a guy has his weapon through the barrier he is standing behind, yet he can still see you.

@Kompete, I know you are also experiencing the issue of not receiving the invite pop-up like me, maybe there is something in there that can help you. I am running BitDefender (2012 I think) so I will try to sort it out tonight.

I tried playing around with it a bit this weekend and the advanced function is, well, so advanced that I can't find where to add exceptions to the firewall and plugins. The exceptions seems to be that you must add incoming and outgoing traffic separately, with local and remote port numbers as well as application rules. *sigh* where is the days where I could just say "Don't mess with *.battlefield.com... Maybe I missed it. I did, however, find a setting that is a mere on/off button called "Paranoid mode"...

I had a problem with getting the game past the date-checker. Tried everything including re-install, etc.
What worked for me in the end was booting into safe mode (with network access) and completing activation. I suspect it has something to do with permissions. Could be you're having the same trouble but earlier in the process. Worth a shot...
