I also thought origin crashed or something last night a couple of times, but then realized its only because I had the highest score.
Think the kiddies are trying to pile up the MVP ribbons.

My BF3 experience thus far:
I played COD from the days of United Offensive through to COD4, then retired from competitive online gaming in December 2009.
Bought BF3, took me a good 15hrs to learn the ropes.
*Still can't fly heli's or jets
*Only learned to spot enemies on page 12# of this thread
*Learned how to use defib after 10hrs
*I STILL can't plant/defuse)

I'm having A LOT of fun, thinking I won't be buying COD. I might even consider joining a clan again, as my old COD clan disbanded.

Things that irks me a bit:
*Guys playing to get the ribbons/medals etc, seems like some okes are so set on getting 50 sniper ribbons, they sacrifice team play and still snipe on metro, etc
*Rush doesn't seem to be the best MP game type to play if you can't communicate, therefore I'm not liking it as much, but I'm guessing it would be amazing when two teams/clans on Teamspeak can battle in this game mode.
*I'd love a form of Capture-The-Flag to be introduced, knowing it would be very difficult to implement with all the vehicles etc.
*I find it weird that you can dodge a snipers bullet after he fires it, since it travels so slowly.

Lastly: I'm also going to stat-whore: My aim is to get the 30 melee ribbons for a special dog-tag. I started knifing last night, and am on three ribbons :)

Re83L you mother ****er. You killed me about 7 times on Grand Bazaar the other night :p Touche though haha. Didn't know you were on mybb.

Oh yeah it's Stickfigure from carbonite btw, the guy who bought your 5870 way back when. I'll add you on battlelog then we can jam together. Just follow me and you'll be alright :)

I play daily on a 384 line. Works perfectly. I do have unshaped bandwidth though, but whether that actually makes a difference I'm not sure. But ya, I play LOTS and never had an issue.

Wow the IR scope is amazing. It's tripled my score. Now I'm often in the top lot.

What other unlocks makes such a signigicant change?

I'm with telkom 384 uncapped and it works perfectly.
 
FFS as much as I love this game it is REALLY starting to piss me off, besides the constant lag, the client crashing and all the rest, on that map with the tunnel every ****ing round when I fly the helicopter I get insta killed "bad luck" whilst just flying, not being shot at or crashing into anything.

Next round Jet just blows up during take off. Again, "Bad luck".

Then I go and get a good score and the server crashes and lose everything.

My brain doesn't remember names, numbers are easy.

That IR scope is just what I needed, making it fun again after being f'ed up for days. I actually prefer getting into the battle now rather than getting a tank.

Unity is officially competing in the DGL! We have 6/7 players and are looking for an additional 4/5 committed players to join the team. If you are committed and able to play please contact me on origin - Spyk3r_za otherwise, look for the 'Unity' platoon and post on the wall.

Ideal members:
over 18 (21 or higher is better)
Able to play with most classes
Team player
Obejective orientated rather than kdr orientated (although a 1:1 odd kdr is required)

Please let me know! We have our own ts server and bf3 server too.

@killa man what do you do when you have a tank gunner with you?

man I tell you, it's as if the GUNNER position has a "SHOOT AT EVERYTHING" banner posted on it.

whenever I get a gunner, they spam at jets, choppers and even enemy tanks, but never shoot he infantry that will actually be shooting at us by a flag.

so many times I have tried to sneak around a tank, only to have my gunner start shooting at the thing as I start approaching it.

it's as if they think I cannot see, as per the game, "this big m*****f*****" right in front of me so they decide "let me show him there is a tank by shooting at it".

not to mention how useless tanks seem to be against infantry, unless that FLAK?? upgrade is really that potent.
was on Caspian and a guy bailed his chopper on the US side just outside Antenna. I literally fired 3 shells at the guy and he kept running-jumping away.
each time getting either a direct hit or a hit but just in front him. he ended up hiding behind a little hill.

it's like your tank can also be taken out with 1 well placed salvo of the enemy chopper, but hitting a chopper head-on or on the side with a tank at close range, only still disables it.
 
Well i generally jam with my bfc mates so we chat on teamspeak which means taking on a tank i will always be engi repairing or have one in the gunner seat.

Shooting infantry is a nightmare, they don't die easy even with those canister shells but taking on other armour is easy. Tanking with someone you cannnot communicate with will lead to fast deaths. Personally i cannot kill infantry in a tank easily. It takes atleast 2 shell unless i hit them direct. On any map we can generally keep a tank alive for the entire round. We even have a good strat for the chopper. The gunner of the tank will always have the igla or stinger, if the chopper starts looking a bit aggressive we hop out and let it know that ummm it best not come shoot us :D. Tanking with a random just doesn't work.

One annoying thing though is we will die from an apc in one shot, we had a tube kill a 100% tank and let's not forget the good old bad luck solider tank killer :D.

Wow we played on the nsd server yesterday and we stacked but wow what epic games. It's the one server i don't mind stacking on actually.
 
Erm flush them out whit a shell hit 2 and mow them down whit the machine-gun ...

Hehehe. Sorry about that! Its not like I look at the person who's tags I'm about to take :p

But I was hoping that the people I invite would be on my team!

Anyway, we had some good games. Really enjoy the bigger maps (but not caspian border though!
