Dude for a mouse all you need is fire aim and use the scroll for knife, select your weapons and crouch etc via the keyboard.
I cannot imagine crouching, moving and shooting/aiming all with the mouse.

More buttons?
The two buttons on the side I use for knife and pistol, the click under the scroll wheel I use for primary weapon then just left and right click for fire and aiming down sights.
I have a death adder and I only wish it had the dpi switching that the mamba does. Killa is right though, if you have more buttons then you make life more difficult for yourself.
Exactly, I use middle mouse button for nade, knifing isn't really a priority for me in BF3... it's pretty useless.

I use a CM Storm Inferno. Got about 7 actions mapped to the mouse and it works very nice.
What are these 7 actions?

Reload, spot, crouch, prone, throw grenade, throw ammo/med pack, knife attack. And recently also mapped defib. All stuff you don't do while shooting, but might want to do while moving.

Okay, wait. A long range tube shot on one is right up there but I digress. There's no better feeling than getting behind 'em on their perch in the middle of nowhere while they're intently staring down the scope attached to their 5 metre long rifle. Then, whipping them over and staring into their bulgy eyes as your blade sinks into a jugular. *shiver* Yesterday I had my best sniper roundup - 3 of them sipping tea and shooting the breeze up on a remote cluster of rocks on Caspian while headshotting away in perfect safety... It was then that I Jack the Rippered the lot...in total silence. If only I'd been recording!

Yesterday I had my best sniper roundup - 3 of them sipping tea and shooting the breeze up on a remote cluster of rocks on Caspian while headshotting away in perfect safety... It was then that I Jack the Rippered the lot...in total silence. If only I'd been recording!

I also got 2 guys last night... awesome feeling... think I threw a tea bag into the mix as well. Point I was making is knifing isn't very effective in any other situation besides when you sneak up on an unsuspecting victim, when you usually have all the time in the world.

Agree with Dooby - I have run into an enemy a couple of times and after having knifed twice nothing happened except him turning around and then shooting the crap out of me...
Something does happen 3 slashes = dead, two on hardcore.

Just join his squad bud and watch him play.
He is about the best bf 3 player i would say, you must squad with him though. Best squad leader you will find. He plays to stay alive while attacking which is insane, he doesn't pull a camper to the max where he sits and camps for the entire round, he generally swaps with us when the teams are unbalanced so it's not like he looks for noobs to pwn and his tanking skills are just off the chart.
I have heard people say he doesn't die but i have squadded with him so much and believe me we revive and i even see him getting shot when he should kill people.
I know plenty people think he hacks but if i thought for one second that he did i would have a chat to the okes and he would be gone. You have to play in his squad to see how he plays, where he goes and so on to understand how good he is at seeing the bigger picture. You also must play in his squad and see he is not invincible, just very good at ensuring he cannot get shot from multiple directions. Where as i die so much because i can get shot in the back, left, right, front haha he very rarely allows himself to be shot like that.

I'm unable to play pb keeps kicking me out after 2 minutes I have tried just about everything to fix it but nothing seems to work.
