Battlefield 4 was confirmed earlier today, with access to its Beta given through a Medal of Honor: Warfighter Pre-Order.

Hopefully DICE/EA don't turn this into a yearly thing. The last thing we want is for Battlefied to turn into another game with a CoD-style release cycle.

Gamer attension spans are getting shorter and the game developers are cashing in.

I'm sure they will at least wait till all the expansion packs for BF3 are released first before they release beta.

Great. BF3 didn't really do it for me. BF2 was better imo.

Oh, lol. And here EA was going on about how other publishers milk IPs. BF3 had quite a few years left in it.

Same here, but I doubt there'll be much change from BF3 to BF4, most likely same engine just different digit. For the Battlefield series to be good solid games, they need to have intervals of around 3 years, otherwise their games would just be sub-par and rehashed in addition to milking customers.

Well, they're already milking the crap out of BF3 with things such as these shortcut bundles.

I mean, really? Bundles that unlock all the weapons and vehicles?

I'm more annoyed by the fact that 'Premium' is pushed in my face everywhere I look.

Even getting killed by someone says "Premium player" wtf. I hate that.

The thing I've realised with the BF3 franchise is bring plenty dollars if you want to play. I bought the premium pack as I have a strong feeling that non-premium players will be to a disadvantage.

I don't believe its fair but the days of buying a game and only paying once to play it are over.
