My wife is looking between the following options, prepaid vs contract. Vodacom running the BB9300 for R2499, R59 BIS, plus no airtime. Contract no free minutes R199x24=R4776. Prepaid R59X24=R1416+R2499 cash phone price=R3915. That is still a saving of R861 leaning to prepaid. Which will be a wiser option. Wifey making minimum telephone calls. I do'nt see the BB Bold 9700 on cash price @ Vodacom.

BB Bold 9700 has been discontinued because of the 9780 being released

If she doesn't make that much calls then prepaid would be better. + you can always top up if you want... And no restrictions to 24months.

Thanks on the advice. It 's helpful. Will the existing 32K simcard be sufficient with the BB9300, or upgrade required to a more recent sim example 128K or 3G.

I will crosscheck with Vodacom later today, but is the BB9780 available on prepaid? What is the current cost? I reside in Cape Town, Stellenbosch area.
