BBC: How do Africans experience the Internet?

Shocking pricing in Africa and bandwidth terrible
512Kb shared Wireless (most of the time 128k) in Zambia with 2.5Gb cap R1500/m
Advantage: Static IP
Disadvantages: Everything else

To Speedtest server in Norway via Taide Satellite

Each client has a Linksys WRT54GL (WAN side) connecting to Motorola Canopy Wireless device connecting to Africonnect ISP

Experience the Internet? How can we experience it, is rather a slog as we can access only limited information which must be paced through 30 days as to avoid being capped for the rest of the month, all that at an HUGE expense relatively. You must protect the cap at all costs the ensure business and necessities first before any enjoyment of leftover cap.

Pondering.... Wonder if BBC even knows what capping is? Maybe we should ask first?

So typical of Africa, over congested bandwidth
