Hi Guys,

So I want to get some BBC channels for the SO in XBMC (An add-on maybe?) however I see that this service is only for people within the UK.

Is there a way to watch these channels outside of the UK?

It is possible to watch in your browser with Tor - use Firefox (not the Tor browser.) You can edit the Tor config file to force it to pick a UK IP address (or another locale) and then you need to set the tor server on your pc as the proxy for the browser. If you Google for the exact details, you should find them pretty easily. Check out UK Channel 4's 4oD service as well.

Change your DNS server to 74.207.242.213 and that should sort you out for US channels, never tried it with BBC iPlayer before though

Will try this - who does the DNS belong to?

I use the bbc iplayer on my ps3, works fine

Cool - I will try unotelly - tell me - is the iPlayer worth the hassel?

Mainly looking for US and BBC channels

It is a bit like DSTV demand for BBC stuff on the PS3 I only really use it for Top Gear.

Hmmm..

The idea is just to watch some BBC channels. Maybe I must just try it out with unotelly and run it ina browser just to see what it is link then decide from there.

IIRC the service is called proxyDNS

If you want to watch BBC programs soon after they are first broadcast and which might not be available here for some time (or at all), yes it is worth it. Channel 4 shows more of the popular US series so 4oD would be better for those.
