BBC World on 3G

Yay! After almost two days of chaning settings and puttin in the APN I finally got it working... BBC World Live now opens everytime on my non-branded Nokia 6680 :)

I managed to get BBC streaming working for a short while over the weekend, but now keep getting an error which says "TtHj100 - Not Found". The "TtHj100" is obviously a filename/stream name cos it changes each time I try and connect. This error comes up after the "Connecting" screen once you have completed the "Purchase" options.

Anyone else seeing the same?

I'm having a similar problem, vodafone live connects, no problem, 3g bar is at maximum, i go to load the streaming news feeds after clicking the 'free' button and it opens real player which then asks to connect. Then real player gives me a 'file not found' error?

can anyone help?

Yup got the same yesterday afternoon and this morning at work and have a 5/5 3g signal. WHo does one report this to??

I am sure if he isn't on to it already, V3g will let soemone know about it.

anyone know how to get it running full screen on realplayer with the nokia 6680? when i try to make it full screen it loses the connection...

Thanks Vodacom - it's working great now. And the best part of it is that it is entirely FREE!!!!

Well done Vodacom - keep the free content coming!! :D

You can get it working full screen on a Nokia 6680, Ice385, by pressing the 2 key on your phone when the stream is running. Press is again (2) to minimize the stream, if you want to adjust volume or exit

Yes... I had the same problem yesterday with BBC World, but its wokring fine again this morning :)

@MrG ,thanks for the info , much appreciated , 3Gee

Hey, I dont know what the problem is now, but BBC World was working perfectly and on Friday for no reason it keeps giving me a URL Invalid Error, while it is suppose to be "loading" after connecting. Vodafone Live works fine and I can get all the other content, but BBC just does that. If I try and connect like 10 times then it may connect on one of the tries.

Anyone know what the problem is? It did it to me when I got the phone (Nokia 6680) originally, but after a week the problem went away and was workimg fine.

yes, that is the strange part, my dad has a E1000 and his always plays it, but my 6680 does it when IT wants to. :(

Is the 6680 you tested Vlive?

ok, well I am watching the BBC feed again as we speak... on the non- Vlive one, but the second I disconnect I will need to reconnect about 10 times

Edit:

What is the real difference between the two? I just put the vlive APN onto the non-branded phone, shouldnt that work?

I have a Vlive 6680. Trying to watch BBC news. Real player connects but then gives an error:"Unable to connect to server. Invalid URL address".

I dunno if its relevant, but just before Real Player connects after the free "purchase", the phone says something like:"Maximum number of connections reached. Close an active connection first". Then I close the "Vlive web" connection and then Real Player connects.

Anybody else having a problem? I'm on prepaid by the way. I hope that's not the problem...

ok, you need to set the Real Player to connect via Vlive aswell.... Menu >>> Imaging >>> Real Player >>> Settings >>> Connections >>> choose Vlive as your defualt connection, that should sort out both of the problems.

You need Real PLayers to connect via Vlive to the feed. It does the same to me if I connect via Internet.GPRS or Vodacom4me

Thanx, MrG, your da man!! The Real Player had to be set to Vlive.

Just confirmed, did an account enquiry with *100# just before connecting. Connected to 3G, watched BBC for 3 minutes, then disconnected. Account balance unchanged!!
