It might need a BBID update, Cannot you access BB App world?

P.S, The reason why it needs your BBID for BBM is because the manual backup/restore option has been removed.
Your BBID is your "backup" if you get a new BB or lose your BBM contacts your BBID will restore all the contacts you had.

Thanx pmed my number . I can access app world but since i updated to v7 of bbm it's broken .

Go to your browser and google "backberry app world" you will find a link to download it again.

Visit www.blackberry.com/blackberryid on a pc.Enter your login details in the fields provided.If it say your details are invalid then you dont have the correct details.From this page you can create a new login but you will need to do a handset wipe to install the new id details.Your bbm contacts will be lost even if you backed it up because the bb id is now different from what you had before the update

This is the problem

The new upgrade for the Blackberry Messenger Application is not accepting customers’ Blackberry ID Passwords. Customers confirmed that the same password works on the Blackberry ID website, and even when resetting the password, the problem still persists.

Interim Solution

Customer who has are to access internet enabled computer, could via the web browser go to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid to reset their passwords. Customer can click on the link provided in the email message sent to their email account and change the password. Before using the new password, please ask customer to reboot the handset by removing the battery for 5 seconds.

BBM NOT RESTORING

How do i fix it?

Make sure you are not connected wirelessly but connected to your BIS account, downgrade to an old bbm, then upgrade, then once you have rebooted, click on your bbm while connected using only your BIS Account.

Thanks for providing the link. After downgrading, my contacts are still there, but all the messages and profile detail are gone. Obviously version 7's inner workings changed everything when I upgraded.

The profile details restored after a few minutes. Just keep in mind that you will loose your chats if you downgrade (if you perhaps wanted to keep something).

I'm back on version 6!!!
