BBM for Android, iOS delayed: BlackBerry responds

Guys, girls... I think a reality check is called for!

So, RIM farked up, and everyone flays them. I am no BB fan, never had one, never had BBM and never will!

Before you carry on throwing abuse at BB, look at the "other" company and its messaging app. Google introuduced Hangouts, "to replace Talk" about 4 months ago. To this day it doesn't work properly. Messages don't get delivered or get lost, it is not possible (on Android) to see if a contact is online. You cannot organise your contact list at all. A voice call (previously simple to make) now requires you to make a video call and then deactivate the video. It is no longer possible to set your status to invisible...

I have NO idea about the relative sizes of the companies, but surely Google should be able to launch a proper app with their resources?

Of course everyone is going to *** on Blackberry since they announced BBM for android and iOS and a few days later said oh no, we're pausing the rollout.

No they did not.

Buying out RIM or any portion of the company will not happen just like that. Offers like that will first need to go through a large number of channels before they happen. Authorities need to approve such deals. The moment anything like this is filed, the news would flare up and circulate the web immediately.

This did not happen. Nor is there any exclusive agreement between RIM and Samsung.

Actually there is a $4.7B offer on the table already.

The way BB has been run the past few years they deserve all the Sh%t people have been throwing at them They are an irrelevant brand as a cellphone for sometime now.
