BDS: #PHARRELLWITHWOOLIES Campaign must stop

since you choose to use a motoring analogy:
we have a group of bmw drivers who scream blue murder, but only when bmw drivers are killed in accidents involving a mercedes.
however, the bmw drivers remain silent when other bmw drivers are responsible for wholesale carnage on the road.

That's like saying National Council of La Raza should shut up because Mexicans in Mexico often have it far worse.

How many BDS supporters does it take to change a light bulb? None, BDS supporters can't change anything.

You can save R10 if you get 2 packets on your Woolies Rewards card.

I did that, am going back again after work today, feel like some of their stirfry for dinner (while not Israeli either, still its from WW!). Still waiting to see if the BDS crowd discover our Woolies. All the BDS are doing is help increase my WW payment at the end of the month, lol.

The whole campaign with that guy on the cover of that magazine is pointlessly stupid. Why import a foreigner when SA has local talent? Why the pretentious nonsense? Woolworths is full of that, like their Black card rewards - a free copy of their useless magazine.... for R35! Who buys that rubbish?

Woolworths has two such rags. One is the free VIP and Loyalty members rag and the other is the "Taste" that costs R35.

What is your actual point? You don't like Woolworths - don't shop there.

I do, so I will.

Last I checked, I still could?

Maybe you should read what he is doing, and what the whole campaign is about.
Who is this "local" artist who is doing the same?

Stop raging about it. Just stop buying at woolies if you can't afford it. It is just that simple.

Whats also quite delicious is their pita breads and the hummus spread! If you're having stir fry tonight, try some Israeli tappas tomorrow! :D

If you don't like it then don't support it.

Stop buying international brands, international technology and that car you drive. Stop. Buy a local one. And not one just assembled here.

Buy clothes, that are made here, the fabric produced here not somewhere in China then shipped here and a label stitched in saying proudly South African.

And if none of that bothers you the campaign shouldn't either.

Or should we burn woolies, being a statue and a reminder that it wasn't thought of here and brought here by colonialists?

FFs. Simpleminded people all over.

all these years later he's still bitter about a cup of coffee and a voucher (ask him about it) and has never managed to recover.

I do have a fondness for their hummus, think I will get some anyway as well. Do like the tappas idea.

I do love MyBB, helps me with meal planning, car purchase decisions, and even the odd IT issue. :D

Did I say you couldn't?

Why are you complaining? Don't like to see others' complaints, don't read them. Last I checked, you still could do that.

We don't have local talent? And both of these magazines are rubbish. There is nothing of any utility in either of them, the local Tyger Burger is more handy. It's like the Mercedes Magazine Merc sends me, except at least that one is free and no pretentious bs.

You should stop projecting your own insecurities on others.

Whoooa that must have registered with you. I did not know I was so important to you. But yes that was BS.

you're becoming delusional if you think a cup of coffee you may or may not have had makes you (or anyone else) important to me.
because i am simply able to recall something does not make it of any importance to me whatsoever.

I don't see you organising your own campaign either. For a big mouth, you're very hypocritical. BDS is targeting Israel, and Israel alone. That's the whole point. Why would they get involved in other causes? They are focussed on one goal. This is the stupidest comment I've read in quite a while.

so, BDS is racist and specifically targeting Israel?

Which insecurities? Please enlighten me.

I like myself. What is your problem?

Yes we don't have local talent that does the kind of work he does, with that kind of reach.

So you are hating on them for doing something good? Or are you hating on the artist for doing something good?

:D this is so funny, when people have a hissy fit on a public forum and then they rather people forget. :D hilarious.
And now he makes it about you. :D
And then he talks about other people's insecurities. :D :D
