This is a genuine question not a wind up : can anyone tell me whether Ray "Fatty" Mears is gay or not ? I'm not "interested", just <ahem> curious.

At the end of the day does it matter?

What he, and anyone else, may or may not do in their private life is totally up to them.

I think Bear is pretty entertaining and even if some of it is staged, I still enjoy the show.

and while Mears may be better if you stuck in the forests by the Smurfs Grylls is more entertaining and is probably, and i say PROBABLY, better overall. I want to see Mears in the Sahara and Outback where there isn't shrubbery to eat and he has to make do on rats and snake.
