Beards.

I enjoy not shaving and can grow a beard pretty quick. Problem is mine starts to curl, major swirls and it just seems weird.

Yeah i feel sorry for those slow growers,
Movember last year a few guys at the office decided to try grow their mo's,but after a week i am trimming mine to keep it out my food when i eat and thiers was almost moustashable. It was like I was bragging the whole month about how much better i was than them. :|D

I am almost two weeks into my umpteenth attempt. It's past itchy now but is sensitive. Will trim it this evening.

Actually the ichyness never goes away it just gets worse, but a beard just proves you man enough to handle it.

My itchiness disappeared after a month.

Another advantage seldom mentioned is that on hot days mowing the lawn the beard nicely channels sweat to a point where it (sweat not beard) can drip rather neatly in a single waterfall.

Use hair conditioner.

Had a beard now for almost 2 years. Conditioner every day to keep it in mint condition :D

Seriously though, I could not go back to a naked face. (1) I couldn't get used my face without a mop of hair (2) the schlep of shaving everyday would kill me. My only hang up is when to mow it down to a respectable size. Every so often it gets quite long and really bushy. I worked through the itchy thing and that really isn't an issue anymore.

The only downside is the bit of grey in my beard. Heck, that's minor for the benefit of not shaving every day. And my missus is very happy with the beard. In fact she'd give me trouble if I removed it.

Persevere! Short-term sacrifice for long-term gain!

What is it with men and beards? Personally I prefer a clean-shaven man. I don't want to be strangled when I make out with someone.

It's one of the manliest physical traits a man can have besides big muscles and a large cock.

Personally I can live with 2 out of 3..

What I can't do is trust a middle-aged man with a full beard. If I can't see you face, I assume you got summin to hide.

What happened to you that you are so untrusting? With a beard should come benevolence and good will.

I've got to agree with Arthur on this one. Did you get beaten up by some bikers or something?
