Beast Master Hunter DPS?

I camped out in Barrens for hours to get my Humar, now it's languishing on a frozen account

Bears>boars well a bears got -9% dps but +Alot of armour and hp the orc racial make up for the los in dps

I don't get the logic. Mitigation hardly matters for your pet since a mob scarcely lasts longer than a couple of seconds anyway, and saying that your racial makes up for the dps, makes little sense since that very same racial applied to a high dps pet would scale it up by a further 5% (or whatever the orc racial is) anyway. <*edit*, no to being a grumpy gus on Friday...>

On TH every hunter got Humar i did not even bother to get him for my orc hunter.My first hunter i just ot past the tree after i saw it ion petopia there he was .

Youre thinking of Echeyakee. The white one.
Humar is a tad harder to get. I havent seen many hunters with one.

Ratchet under a tree.

The white one is more rare on TH than Humar.

Cant call him rare anymore rather get ghostsaber.

Nope that Humar. Echeyakee is the quest spawn but Humar is a 12 hour spawn Black Lion just north of Ratchett under a tree.

Ferret's Pet is Humar.

I know Petopia i had humar on my troll and Bloodelf hunter.But i liked the ghostsaber more.

Both times he was sitting under the tree maybe i was just lucky.

I remember 'farming' for Broken Tooth for 3 days. Much the same, he's a rare spawn in Badlands. Man, he was broken in half prior to normalisation. You could get his AS down to something like 0.66 *without* proccing a Frenzy. He'd solo clothies my level. It was legendary.

The worst for me was taking my lvl 17 Alliance Hunter to TBluff to Tame The Rake.
I died so many times getting past the guards by Camp Taraugo but i eventually made it and tamed him.
I was after him because at the time Pets had different attack speeds and he was the fastest Attack speed for that level (1.2 I think it was)
The very next night was Patch night and the Patch normalised all pets to attack at 2.0.

I was so frikkin upset.

Lol I know the feeling. I tamed a Son of Hakkar (lightning breath ftw) which at the time made it the highest dps pet bar none. Patch went through like 3 days later nerfing it.

Theres still a pierie wolf close to TB that barks when you click on him but you have to tame him lvl 6 to get this.

There's a cool looking named wolf to the east of terrokar as well, which i had for a while. He'd change colours slightly each time you dismissed and resummoned him. Dunno if they 'fixed' that.
