I thought we were part of the SADC community? Since Zimbabwean has no national rugby team what should happen? Guess SA is an island... we can protect that Zimbabwean Mugabe but must cold should that Zimbabwean Mtawarira? Gotta love double standards of SA politics... Its not who you know, it's who your father knew, right?
Well apparently not. He has not skills that would be considered in short supply. We have thousands of potential locks... of course this doesn't really apply in sport where sometimes natural talent trumps all.

I got my passport in 6 weeks.

.tbf home affairs these days is a lot more jacked up. i've seen people get IDs and passports in next to no time.

Nobody is wanting to blame anyone, i wish it would get sorted but it seems odd that he has not sorted it out. How long has he been here? Why have they allowed him to play but then suddenly wake up?

It's probably because the douche-bags at Home Affairs didn't realise he wasn't a citizen and/or the Department of Sport didn't know about their own regulations that they created themselves - unless of course this is a new regulation...
Whilst I am really sorry to hear the stance of the anc... oops! ... I mean the government, I suppose that we have to respect their laws. I am sincerely confused by their allowance for him to play 22 tests for South Africa, but now the rules have either been changed or suddenly enforced?

I think you missed the entire general point. Tens of thousands of Zimbaweans here illegally committing crimes, robbing our economy and here is on Zimbabwean who is actually doing a great service for this country. Which of these two groups does the government focus on? Wait for it...
