Becoming respectable

Ah, finaly some good news, I wanted to throw up everytime I heard how they want to be the alternative (radio ads) and knowing full well they just a Telkom lacky like everyone else, but considering they have their own network with their own numbers and such, thats progress...

Sorry, no sale! This sounds suspiciously much like a tiny Neotel, but at least they're not part government owned. Buying bandwidth from Telkom is like bargaining with the devil, you cannot win...

Now see this is again the root of all evil. Telkom holds all the cards and that does not equate to compitition. Telkom HAS to be forced to give up any exclusivity it has over SAT3 and the like. Failing which, or an alternative to SAT3, how can there be any compitition? Not even to mention LLU.

These are no doubt all very intelligent and highly qualified people that dabble in this industry so perhaps one of them can study this and tell me what is wrong with this picture!

"We're bandwidth traders," explains Van Marken. The group buys bandwidth at wholesale prices from Telkom and then competes with Telkom's retail division by selling this bandwidth.

and people must take you seriously  , I think the government and the rest of the folks that influence this market should start to take the public seriously first.
