Bee Keeping

Hello,

I'm wondering if there are any other members here who has a passion for bee keeping? I've recently just completed my "Blue Book" for the novice bee keeper. Now I am looking to buy my first hive and find my first swarm :D

Problem is that I don't know where to get my swarm of bees from yet :P

Anyone here that can give me a name of a bee keeper in the free state who wouldn't charge me too much for a small colony of bees ?

Offer a nuisance bee collection service and you can get a hive for free.
 
Can't help you with the bees in the orange free state but a few years ago we did a Bee Keeping course with Farmer Red Beard in Ashton which was both awesome fun and very educational.

Maybe they'll help you get started? I was under the impression you just need a Queen and then the rest will come?

what do you think a thread necro is?

also there isnt issue with you doing a necro, it is with the guys who don't realise and now think the dude is still looking to start a bee keeping
