BEE rules are getting stricter

This makes me so angry.

There was a long thread the other day about what the legal definition of black is. The conclusion seems to be that there is no objective legal test for "black". If you consider yourself black then there is nothing the government can legally do to contradict you.

They should ask the old government, they became experts at it. In fact, both governments use the definition to decide who to benefit and who not to benefit.

I wonder how many years before I will be asked to do a pencil test?

oh thats going to suck. Much easier finding competent indian chaps than black ones.

My step-dad's factory has no racial hiring policies whatsoever - people are kept around if they do a good job. After two decades the entire groundfloor staff contingent is coloured. Similarly, my family doesn't hire or retain domestics and gardeners based on race or origin, and our most loyal, most honest and most hardworking employees are Zimbabweans. The rest have come and gone through the years.

Just an observation.

Is BEE a prerequisite to conduit business? Expect BEE agencies cold calling the online directories and yellow pages...

Racists gonna race.

But seriously. If they made a rule that makes it illegal for any white person to have a job in SA, then they're only blocking 10% of the country...that still leaves them with 30% unemployment. How would they spin that one? Start giving more BEE points if you're zulu rather than xhosa? hmmmm.

I work for myself and refuse to grow my business by employing anyone else.
