Ok guys,

I have been on MWEB 4Mb uncapped before and found it to be pretty limitless, doing + -500Gb a month, I recently moved house and just went onto 384k for budgetary purposes, but am thinking of going back onto 4Mb, as 384k is SO slow. I believe MWEB is having huge problems lately now that SEACOM is having to be repaired, and I want to know if there is any other ISP out there that can match or better MWEB (obviously when MWEB was running properly)?

Thanks

Have you check OpenWeb or even WebAfrica?

MWEb is running properly according to other users--it certainly is running well for me since the SEACOM outage. I am on 384K as well. No problems.

Yeah 384K is running fine for me too, although international does seem quite a bit slower. I will have a look at OpenWeb.

EDIT: OpenWeb has pricing for 8Mb, is this gonna happen soon? or is this a special for those people with bonded lines?

mweb looks like they are bouncing back...averaging 10GB's a day now...from 3-4GB...hopefully by the end of the week i'll be back on 18 GB!!!

some people say axxess is good? Anyone care to compare it to MWeb

Good point - certainly being offered elsewhere and Telkom haven't gone live with their upgardes...

If you want better performance than MWEB, the only way to get that without paying through the nose is to get an openweb GOLD account.

Thanks, so i'm guessing that MWEB is the best by far? I'll gladly stick with mweb then :-)

yeah thats a bit more expensive than mweb, unless it includes ADSL Access aswell?

It is more expensive for a reason. Less shaping and better contention ratios. That's how it's better than MWEB and how you wiill get better performance.
