Best Bitcoin wallets for Android and iOS

Did luno pay for that spot?
Otherwise, there is NO reason whatsoever to list it, in fact, it is dangerous and I would caution against it.

Can I ask why you think our wallet is a dangerous alternative to use against the others listed on the article?

Isn't the informed consensus to keep it offline and not trust others? What happens if you are hacked and all stolen? Do you guarantee to reimburse for the losses?

That's something that's entirely up to the user.
Yes, we control the private keys. That doesn't mean that it's automatically insecure. We also don't force anyone to store the Bitcoin with us. We've advocated multiple times (including on this forum) that if customers want to store their coins outside of their Luno wallets they're welcome to.

We cannot give back Bitcoin that has been stolen, no. We make the risks very clear, but also have incredibly clever Engineers who ensure that Bitcoin is stored safely. To mention a few, multisig wallets and offline storage. We also haven't had a security breach.

The same argument can be had about controlling your own private keys. You could lose it, it's generally slower to send Bitcoin if you're storing it properly and have the wallet secured. I personally feel that there are pros and cons for both. That doesn't mean that our wallet is insecure, that's quite a bold statement to make without backing it up by much, or any, data.

I've added some links below on our security and the general risks that are involved with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Luckily we haven't got any MtGox employees working at Luno.
Yeah well, unless you guarantee losses then I wouldn't trust you.

Mind you, I have spent R50 via Luno to pay for my seedbox over the past two years. That worked out ok.

Not sure it's fair to expect any Bitcoin company to guarantee losses since an unregulated currency cannot be insured.
