there are like 5 or 6 generations of CRV, they dont all use the same pads, try Metelli @ Masterparts, they manufacture their own, its not a brand like safeline or whatever that buys from a factory that 500 other brake pad brands buy from and just box it to a brand, yes.... that's how it works with car part brands if the brand isn't manufacturing for themselves

also: GW don't have a massive range outside of VW/Audi

Brembo is great, but you wont need it

Ferodo is good. I would go for them.

The problem with Brembo is that if you stop last minute its great as it stops however.....

Cars behind you may not stop as fast, and your boot will be pancaked. Saw that way too often.

So stock standard brakes will do.

I have had various makes, from cheaper to expensive brake pads. The only time brakes start squealing, is when the pads wear down to the bolt like wear indicator which is designed to squeall. Properly installed brakes dont squeall.

No, your back yard mechanic does not know what spec is, is he some guru that touches a disk and knows its below spec?
Give pads and disks a chance to "marry" each other

For your car to keep its value, keep it at original spec. Going for fancier items, while your car depreciates will actually just make you loose more.

Unless its a Honda Jazz. They actually gain value ironically.

I managed to reduce the price I paid for a second hand car by 15% just cause I was able to see that they used non OEM brake pads. It's one of the most overlooked items when doing inspection.

I actually used the Metelli brand for my Honda. Dont recall having any issue, granted this was in 2014 or 2015 and I have replaced it since.

think its been the main brand for them for like 13 years or something now, Fremax is another solid brand that also manufactures their own

Apparently Metelli is an Italian manufacturer that supplies OEM parts worldwide. Also switched over to Metelli a few years ago after using Ferodos for years. Metelli brake pads have been great and cheaper than Ferodos. No screeching or excessive dust. Recently also tried Stone brake pads from Masterparts as they did not have Metellis in stock. Been great so far with no screeching or excessive dust.
