I've returned to WoW Europe after 7 months away from the game. Back then I was getting a ping of 400ms to the realm, but now I get pings averaging at 600ms or higher (Sometimes over 1000ms). This is probably due to the server population increasing or more traffic on my ISP or maybe its related to bugs that may have surfaced with all the patching.
Seeing that there are so many SA players on the Europe and US servers I was wondering what ISP and connection type you folks would recommend to improve latency. At present I am on Webafrica 4GB Unshaped ADSL on a 512K line. Is there a better solution for WoW and/or other international gaming? Perhaps I should try wireless or the VPN solution from OpenWeb ? I was considering HSDPA, but I have no idea what the speeds are like for gaming. I have also been considering upgrading my line to 1024K.
Any suggestions to improve latency to the game in any way would be highly appreciated. Of course it has to be a stable solution (I was thinking of iBurst but after reading that forum section on these messageboards I don't think I can consider them to be a stable solution). Thanks in advance to all that reply
PS. Sorry if the above questions have been asked before.
