Best dps class cata

Don't roll Enh Shammie, decent DPS but more of a utility role (ie: Totem buffs)
 
huntards and mages all the way. seriously though, you want a class that will almost always get some love, play a mage, blizzards head dev main character is a mage. and all loot is huntard loot
 
My personal favourite class is the warrior. With dual spec you get instant grps as tank. The gear while levelling works as well for tanking as it does for dps.

I am usually the off tank in raids in our guild. Our MT is a Druid. When an encounter calls for only 1 tank, I switch to dps and still contribute decent damage, but not top since my focus is on def gear, but I am starting to pick up the dps plate items as our death knights gear up and pass on the loot.

Running normal mode as fury, I am starting to push 10k dps with half my gear being defence with avoidance gems and enchants. I usually join lfg as dps while doing dailies ;)
