Best fabric plasters?

Interesting, how big a cut can it be used on, this is definitely my kind of fix.

Well it’s what it was originally designed for the purpose, to quickly bond open wounds out in the field I think in World War 2.

I would imagine anything that doesn’t obviously require and ambulance.

The idea being you literally glue the two sides together very quickly.

But it’s definitely a two person operation in most cases. Depends where and how I guess.

It works well on clean cuts that aren't too deep like accidental knife cuts.
Especially on hands and other areas that hinge or move a lot and where plasters are difficult to attach.

It’s possible to do on yourself if you are reasonably ambidextrous, just hold the wound roughly closed with one hand and then dribble the super glue over the wound with the other. You basically just want to glue the mouth of the wound together not drip it into the wound. It makes things heal really quickly which can lull you into a false sense of security but the would will still be fragile so you need to be careful not to bump it, it’s good to put a plaster over the glue if you are going to do rough/dirty work.

I was specifically thinking about finger injuries where that isn’t possible.

Yes that's what I was referring to, that's where it’s most useful. You can typically wangle it to use the other fingers on the injured hand to hold the wound site appropriately closed or push the wound against something else to hold it shut while you glue with the other hand. I've glued all my wounds myself and most of them have been somewhere on my hands, there's not always someone around and you have to do what you need to do quick because blood is getting everywhere and food needs to still be cooked.
