PC-Cillin is useless. Ask me I know. Almost every1 I know who has had it, has had problems.

I found that Sygate did not like a router. But I didnt really mess araound with it, so I might be wrong.

I've just installed smoothwall. I'm VERY impressed. Very easy to use, very nice feature filled interface. It updates itself.

It runs a hardened mini-linux distro so it should be secure.

Very easy to set up. Took me 30 mins from popping in the CD to typing this.

Yay! No more $^@#$^@W applying windows patches every other day!

Just setup a contab entry to auto-disconnect my isdn connection in my smoothwall box.

45 6 * * 1,2,3,4,5 root /etc/ppp/ppp-off &gt; /dev/null

Disconnect at 6:45 am from mon to fri?

Can the linux users please doublecheck it [8D]

Inevitable: It allows many computers to connect/ share a internet connection with ease. Much much better than using things like internet connection sharing etc. It will also dial up for you and keep the connection alive without any user intervention at all. IE sentech d/c's you, the router will automaticly reconnect for you etc.
