I have a Satiek X52, it's fully programmeable stick with throttle. It comes standard with more switches and buttons than you'd probably ever need. It has ability load profiles for certain games, it has a 'function' switch to toggle same buttons but for different application, giving one the ability to have more than 128 different combinations of button configurations. the throttle piece has fine components (wheels and turnable swithes) that allow wheel for prices pitch/yaw and other flight characteristics. For serious flightsim, I wouldn't go for less than the X52. Offcourse there are much more expensive flight sticks ("Hotas Cougar", I think) out there. There are also much cheaper sticks out there but it all depends on how serious a flight simmer you are and your budget.
My model has no force feedback. Newer models might have force feedback. Combine the X52 with a
TrackIR (which lets you look around cockpit/world using small head movements) and one can have a total 'hands off keybord' flying experience. For flight sims, the TrackIR is indespensable. TrackIR is also supported in other games like Armed Assault 2 etc, Race '07, GTR Eveolution etc.
My demo video on youtube is from the KA-50 "Black Shark"
DCS simulator, also available on
www.Steampowered.com and I was using Saitek X52 + TrackIR to pilot the heli. It was my first flight, and this is probably the most realistic heli sim ever, and that is not my words, those are the words of the developer who incorporated as much details as they where allowed to from the actual military version.
