Best Galaxy S2 contract

Think I'll take the MTN 100 Top Up for R279pm. R100 airtime, 25sms, 10mb data. Ofcourse I'll add additional data to that.

The MTN750 comes with R750 airtime/data value is R758 per month, so the additional phone and data portion works out to an extra R121/month.

definitely way too much to pay for. iphone 4 still looks a better deal but of course, you're not getting an S2!!! bummer... gotta wait and see whether Voda will have new contracts out by Aug so I can either upgrade or move to MTN

Oh ok, well if you get R750 talk time it's not to bad then. I'm just comparing to what I got with virgin. R320 per month, includes R300 talk time and 1000 sms's (not anymore though coz people don't sms that much anymore)

Is your S2 branded by Virgin?
 
Trying to decide on a contract for this. Currently looking at something like Vodacom's Top Up 315s (about R479 p/m) or Virgin's classic contract 300 (at R320p/m). I'd really prefer a top-up style contract, or at least the option to cap my usage so I don't end up running up huge month-end bills. Suggestions good people? There seems to be plenty of hate for pretty much all the providers, so deciding which devil to live with is rather difficult for someone who hasn't been on contract in a long time.
 
I took out an MTN Anytime 100 contract with the Galaxy S2 but after I signed the contract the guy said he must approve it and I'll get the phone today or tomorrow.

How long does it take to "get approval"? Im sick of waiting :( Any other experiences like this?

And what exactly was (will be) the pay-in if I may ask? Been trying to find out here in the Cape and no-one can help.

As far as the MTN sales rep said, no pay in. But will see tomorrow as im still waiting for them to approve my contract... Is this a credit check or what?

Well, to be honset I'm not really sure. The 'quotes' I've got for a pay-in on the Anytime 100 range from R3900 to R4900 on a standard package (which no-one offers 'cos it's not loaded on the system :confused:).

I am surprised that they quoted no pay-in ... where exactly did you go? If you get it, grab it with both hands :D

The sales rep said it should be approved today and I can go get it.

So I just got back from the shop, the bast**d sales rep isnt even in today, after he reasured me yesterday that it'd all be sorted today, but aside from that - Their lines are down, Telkom fail.

Im so emo pissed right now.

I just got the low-down from MTN here in CT. Pay-in for the 100 is R4119 and the 200 is R3269. So if you are getting it 'free' like I said before grab it with both hands.
 
I'm also looking at this deal as upgrade is from september(VC).

main deals they advertise are:
weekend everyday:R319(120 off peak minutes)
business call:R279

looks like i might just look elsewhere
 
Success! Got the phone yesterday on MTN Anytime 100 Topup, R100 Airtime, 25 SMS's and 10mb data (lol) for R279 per month. No additional fees\charges\buy in.

Clearwater Mall, Roodepoort, JHB.

would this be the equivalent Vodacom contract?
SAMSUNG I9100 GALAXY S2 @ R119 PER MONTH + SUBSCRIPTION ON TALK 200
Talk 200s is R430.00 + R119 = R549 per mont, with no data?

Is VC really R200 pm more?
