My friend needs some help buying a Gaming PC for R8000(excluding monitor)?

What would you guys recommend would be the best option ito:
Cape Town based companies preferably.

-mobo
-CPU
-graphics card
-memory
-HD

If you're NOT into overclocking and can somehow get a pc from durban to wherever you are, check the specials at www.zones.co.za , best prices in the country.

Just add an 8800GT and another 2GB ram to their Q9300 build.

Well if he's trying to keep to an R8000 budget I'd go for 2GB. I'm yet to see any performance increase in any machine using 4GB.

could bring him into the 8k mark if he took a 9600gt?

Yea 8800GT 256mb is kind of weak :eek:
the HD3850 512mb is also comming in at around 2.1k wich is the same price as a XFX 8800GT 256mb :) *MSI w/ copper heatpipes ftw!*
