Best Gingerbread Custom ROMS

Those errors dont look right. You may have to reflash that rom.

I am finding it difficult to establish what the differences are between CM7 and Oxygen - they seem to be almost the same except for some of the pre-installed apps. Anybody know if any other differences?

Oxygen is minimalistic with the stock GB AOSP framework and a few additions like FM Radio, A2SD+, Notification Power Widget etc. CM7 has a whole load of more features like OJ Wake and unlock, Profiles, 720P Video Recording, Quiet Hours, Call Blacklist and lots more.

I installed Oxygen 2.02 yesterday. It came out the same day as the new version of LauncherPro, which has performance enhancements for Gingerbread.

Together, it feels like my phone is running faster and better than ever. Oxygen 2.02 doesn't have any improvements over 2.01, but it definitely feels more stable and reliable. Also, I have yet to get the dreaded bootloops.

Oxygen is highly recommended. It will suit your purposes perfectly if you're an Android purist who wants a fast, clean, close-as-possible-to-stock Android experience. With the exception of the power widget in the notifications tray (a very useful feature), it's the sort of ROM that Google themselves could have made.

I tried Gingervillain 1.6 for a few days and didnt find it as smooth or responsive as Oxygen. Also noticed a few bugs. Keyboard would get stuck, screen wouldnt rotate. Nothing a reboot didnt sort out. Battery life is great, just about as good as with oxygen, infact overall its very similar to oxygen.

But because of the bugs and responsiveness, i went to Oxygen again (albeit ver 2.0.3)

Damn... Oxygen 2.03 is out already? That was fast.

Time to update, I guess.

Yeah updates are coming fast it seems, CyanogenMod also jumped RC3 and RC4 in a couple of days ;) But who's complaining!

I changed from CM7 to Oxygen yesterday, i find they are pretty much the same except for a few little things. I really like Oxygens app menu how it scrolls, but i do dislike the lack of customization. Never the less, its a very nice rom - more androidy.

Cm7 is out....

Sent from my HTC Desire using MyBroadband Android App

Saw the final release got cleared today, I am somewhat scared of updating from RC4, everything is setup exactly as I want it now, I have no problems anywhere and the battery is lasting forever! :)

Will see...
