Best Graphics Card

That depends on definition on best. Fastest is still 8800gtx/ultra but best bang for buck is 8800gt.

It depends. Based on your sig, you're board probably has a nVidia chipset, which would make your best option one of the high-end/expensive nVidia cards (8800's). If you're running an AMD system, with 790f* chipset on your mobo, your best option will be any of the 3850's/70's,

Nope, best in terms of best bang for buck is 8800GT but probably 8800GTS as that will play Crysis Maximum detail DX10 @ 1280x1024, which is not going to happen with an 8800GT...
Fastest undoubtedly is the 3870X2....
Just ran a quick bench before I came to work at 4GHz with the 3870X2 stock = 27,000 in 3DMark05. Very fast :P

3870X2 in corss fire mode in case your new MB support CS. (Will cost you around 10k for both cards). Oh no, just saw ATI's new 4870 X2, unofficial but click for pic http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/7365/4870x2lu5.jpg
Else, 9800 GX 2 Tri SLI (don't know if it's possible, but when it comes out later this year, prepare to sell your wife and house).

If you wait 10 years you'll have a HD9950 X4 Octa Crossfire & 12900GTX 2048 GDDR6 :D

otherwise, HD3870 X2 is king for now :)

Shhhh! it's a secret but here is a picture of the 9800! http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/2980/geforce9800ed3yd0.jpg

dont you think spending 5k on a 3870x2 now and in 40 days time the 9800gx2 comes out and blow it away by 30% is worth waiting for because i sure do

if you in a rush then yea get the 3870x2

Drools....very, very nice!

The card ain't bad either :D

3DMark05 is so much faster to run that 3DMark06 (better balanced as well) so I don't' have to wait almost 10minutes for a result.
With 3DM05 its quick :) will run 3DM06 later on .

The 9800X2 is also going to be more expensive, but not by terribly much. Depends how well they get the GPU's to scale.

At the moment if you can spend R5000 then I'd go for the 3870X2. :D
