Best Insurance

Sometimes you have to play hard ball with these insurance companies. Threaten to leave their insurance company if you don't get your way. They will be happy if you pay R1000 insurance premium every month for 10 years while your car's value devalues. Normally premiums must be relooked at once a year, meaning premium amounts must decrease once a year. Insurance companies will never lower your premium if you don't say anything.

I think you should play hard ball, instead of seeking services from a broker. Doing it yourself teaches you how to be tough when negotiating. :)

The TCF rules and regulations is putting a stop to this.

Work through a decent broker, I'm with Mutual & Federal for my car(and little bit of household = requirement) for almost 10 years now, can recommend them.. the longer you stay with an insurer the better, but obviously not if that said insurer is more expensive than the rest!

So I'll move if I where you..

If you qualify for PPS products, try PPS.
They launched short term insurance cover some time ago and the rates seem pretty competitive, with no major sacrifice on excess loading etc.

I did study but not sure if I qualify. I will check.

M&F has never let me down. That being said my last claim was more than 10 years ago when I wrote off my bakkie (and two other cars). I should also add that along with my two cars they are also insuring pretty much everything on our family farm so it kinds helps...

Revival, so a year has passed. What are your thoughts now?

I want to change fron my current insurer New National Assurance as i think i am paying too much (R 866) for car, house and contents.

Car is worth R75k, house, R690k and contents R100k. Any opinions on which insurer to go with. Oh i am 26, turning 27 next month.

Thank all
