Hi all, new to mybroadband. I created this account to ask this question sorry if I am bumping a thread. What is the best way to get connected and cheapest internet connection I can get for a laptop and with which network?

For LTE (and lots of data 100gb etc) Telkom.
For LTE/3g and capped accounts Afrihost.

1. For starters: Internet Starter Pack SIM (old one) from Telkom R49 200MBx12 months, you can still find it in some shops. It will roam MTN. A new one is a double price for the same amount of data, but still represent a good value. New packs are different in size from 100MBx12 R49, through 5GBx12, it can be also loaded on any prepaid SIM from airtime.

2. For larger usage: Cell C Giga200 R999 and Giga100 R1399 SIM. These two SIMs are Cell C only (no Vodacom roaming) and voice tariff fixed to 99c/pm, but a big advantage is one year expiry date.

3. For regular large usage: Telkom LTE capped and uncapped deals on 24-months contracts (wth device) or monthly subscription (with no device). No MTN roaming and LTE Advanced packages will limit to Telkom LTE network (no 3G access).
