im living in Botswana at the moment and we have uncapped internet for P500 (R550) per month. im moving to south africa and am sad that i wont have such a luxury of uncapped internet..

can anyone tell me what is the best internet service provider in the range of R300 - R600 for home use with the biggest cap? i heard neoTel has uncapped for R550 is that only in the jo'burg region? please advise

Neotel offers an 2 uncapped services, Namely; Neoconnect Prime Unlimited and Neoconnect Lite Unlimited and the pricing is around R990 and R460 respectively. What sort of speeds were you getting there?

LOL... welcome to the land of extortion. Uncapped internet is going to cost you upwards of R1000.00 a month. And even then be careful, it is not always TRUE uncapped. Neotel, if you can get coverage, can give you true uncapped.

R300 to R600 as you asked will get you a five to ten Gig Cap, and maybe an extra Gig.

I see that Axxess is doing it for R899 a month for 384k lines. Why would anyone then pay R899 for their 15GB account if for the same money you can have uncapped?!

Philip.

WIth all the "uncapped" soloutions in SA even the "truely" uncapped soloutions, they still Jip you with the "rolling day" period and in the case of axxess as far as I know its 20 gig per 10 days so if you exceed that they throttle your line to un-usable speeds, I think its ludicrous that they are allowed to sell "uncapped' and than throttle your line for using too much bandwidth? Am I missing something?! Apart from the fact that this is SA!

Get neotel prime uncapped for R999.... best solution... u get good speeds too...

but not as good as 4mb/s but its worth the price

Well I can actually only comment on the Openweb "Uncapped Express" package. With the 384 uncapped express they throttle you to 192 kb, with the 512 they throttle you to 256 kb etc.

This throttle is only in place during 8am till 8pm on weekdays, after that its still full speed

What does the R460 one include and what speeds etc etc.... got a linkey?

axxess is offering uncapped express+ which is the normal fakeUncapped with the rolling over BUT it semi unshaped which is not bad if you don't mind paying the extra bits.

rather see how much bandwidth you going to use and then buy occurdingly... im sure it will work out cheaper plus there will be no throttling.
