Hows it all

Sorry if there's a thread like this going around, but I'm totally ****ing done with dodgy, atrocious ADSL providers. Both of the ones I've been with started out solid, and then totally went to sheit. Without saying who they are (you dont have to look to hard at the posts to guess), and taking into account all the capacity issues down here in the Cape, who is actually delivering a good capped service right now?

All I want is functional ADSL that doesn't go tits up after 6pm and handles VOD well

Moved to a WA home capped account from my VOX FP + bolt on account and haven't had any issues yet. Streaming works well and my latency in games are sub 200 as well(If I am not streaming anything while I play). Not sure what the issue is with VOX and Cape Town but I switched even though I still have a month left with them just because I got soo frustrated during the evenings. Its probably best to get a few test accounts from various ISPs so you can check how they do as they tend to vary from play to place.

I hope that you had quoted him in Buckazoids.

Can't find the latest spot rates for conversion. Our bank also won't give us forward cover on Buckazoids. I think they're inter-stellarists.

I live in CT, I've had accounts with alot of ISP's.

Most consistent I've had is from Axxess to be honest - Some guys complain about shaping and throttling but I've never seen it, we're running a 4Mbps uncapped between 7 people.

I'm in the process of ditching WA - the one calendar month notice for cancellation is Archaic compared to the quick in and out offered by other ISP's - the last straw for me with WA was when my paid for capped account went to @#$% but the free 1 gig they hand out worked perfectly.

You say it goes tits up after 6pm, are you sure you're not dealing with Exchange congestion? What suburb in CT are you in? If that's the problem you'll need to look at the WISP's which are for the most part getting good reviews.

Whats your primary measure of the line going tits up? Speed, latency, disconnects etc?
