Best ISP

Hi, who do you think the best ISP is for overall adsl needs

Thanks

Think you should take some time and read through some of the threads on this forum and make up your own mind - all depends on what your needs are and what your budget is.

best value for money - mweb (but getting a lot of negitive feedback lately with unidentified network problems)

best and most reliable - openweb (but rather expensive, but you get what you pay for)

but read the forum, should be able to help you...

depends on your needs.

if its local gaming you need mweb is now tops, as they peering is back with telkom, and having ipc nodes in cpt and jhb and durban soon, makes for nice pings locally :)

In terms of being respected and getting your problems sorted out OpenWeb (GOLD)

Slightly cheaper, being disrespected and bull****ted MWEB (Look for the article on how they fleece the unsuspecting customer falling for the free internet trap with laptops & pc's sold by Wallmart stores on this forum)

capped, you can try pcflive.co.za, they offer 3gb @ R51-00, 20gb @ R200-00, 50gb @ R450-00, up to 200gb @ R1800-00 and thats R9-00 per gb...

or for uncapped, here's a summary of about all uncapped offerings...

For uncapped: Openweb (no contracts, reliable, easy payment methods, very good support)

For capped: Afrihost

I have a backup account with pcflive, its one of those BrandedInternet solutions which use the Cybersmart backbone. I have never had an issue with them and my backup account has always worked when I experience downtime with my other account. So +1 there.
