Best Laptops

Yeah whoopie

and the Maybach is the best car you can buy, o wait you can't it's too expensive.

When will these sites review products as consumers and not tech people.

Without exception when people buy a notebook, the FIRST thing they look at is price. I think far too much credit is given to products that are expensive and well made.

The really winners are the cheap ones that are still well made.

The best laptop is a cheap laptop with enough RAM, invariably something breaks, and then even with warranty you have a wait 2 to 3 weeks for them to ship in that proprietory motherboard and what not. You could probably buy two laptops for cheaper than some uber one and keep the one as a spare you can just swap the harddrive with while the other one goes in for repair.

Unfortunately supersunbird, from personal experience... the best laptops are the expensive ones from Tier One OEMS like Dell and HP etc...

yes something will break, but the laptop comes with a 3yr NBD warranty, and they fix them at the latest by the next business day.

Quit complaining

I hate it when poor people complain about how expensive everything is and they can't afford all the cool gadgets. Blah blah blah...
We live in South Africa where everything is overpriced so you might as well get used to it.

I remember a time when people couldn't afford something, and they did without it - nobody complained. People today just want everything for nothing. Have you no shame?

When it comes to laptops, that warranty makes all the difference. I bought an Acer laptop with an extended warranty and within the first few weeks I had to send it back due to a few dead pixels on the screen and the thermal fan packed up causing it to shutdown. They replaced the screen and fan, no questions asked and I got the laptop back within 2 days via courier.

Dell's onsite warranty is even better, they fix the laptop right in front of you and you get it back an hour or two later.
