There is just so many choices so I want to pick one and just go with it. This will be for my work Laptop.

ubuntu
kubuntu
Pop Os
Deepin
Manjaro
Mint
Elementary
Zorin

Not going to lie but I want like all of them.
I know the term best is not really suitable because everyone would have their own opinion so best I would say what is your best. Suggestions?

Deepin is a really good looking OS but I can see HK hosted stuff will be an issue

I have no programming knowledge so I need an OS that does not require it.
So far I have tried 4 different ones but some were unstable or I had to use my windows laptop for certain other applications.

Elementary is great but it stopped booting for some reason so I switched to Mint 19.3
Happy with it so far and hardly ever use my windows laptop anymore.
Takes 75 seconds to boot and on a few occasions it would not boot but second attempt succeeded. BootRepair helps.
My laptop is Celeron dual core 2.6 GHz SSD 32 GB.

Stop fooling around with custom installs. Get @Afrihost-Gian to buy you a MacBook.

Sheesh.... And people complain about Window$

Deepin looks absolutely beautiful but I don't think it's the OS for me.

Ubuntu, or if you don't like Canonical, Debian. Default Gnome doesn't look like much, but it gets the job done.

+1 for Manjaro.

I used to be an ubuntu fan, but since installing Manjaro over a year ago, I have not felt the need to distro hop again. Its a really nice OS, just many updates

If you're using it for work then Ubuntu LTS / Fedora or OpenSuse would probably be my go to's.

No need to **** with anything, and stability. Both things you need when you should be working.

You can’t go wrong with one of the official Ubuntu derivatives.

Especially with built in Snap system giving you more application support as a whole.

Sure you can install Snap on anything else, but I prefer things baked in.

Also can’t beat it for general support and documentation.

As a MacOS guy I quite prefer Ubuntu Budgie.

Don’t chase after the prettiest one, chase after the most functional and well supported ones.

I tried Pop OS, Mint, Ubuntu and Elementary. Ended up selecting Mint, and very happy with it. I use it for work (dev work)
